Imagine that you woke up tomorrow in your dream life. Everything that you ever wanted in your dream life vision is happening in real time. What does that dream life vision look like? So many moms scoff at the idea of taking the time to really stop and think about what their dream life would look like. But you know what? Defining what your dream life looks like is the first step to creating that life for yourself. And not only for yourself, but for your kids as well.
I am especially excited for today’s episode because I have some exciting news! So many moms have been struggling lately to define their dream lives. So I created a quiz to help you quickly and easily start to think about what your dream life could look like? Want to jump to the quiz now? You absolutely can, but you may want to finish this episode first!
Take a minute to daydream with me. Set down your to do list, put your phone on Do Not Disturb and hit pause on your walking desk. Take a deep breath. Do any of these dream life visions resonate with you:
Daydreaming is all fine and good, but what happens when you wake up? How can you start to design your dream life?
Before we get into that, can I let you in on a secret? So many moms skip this step. They notice themselves daydreaming as they shift from foot to foot at soccer practice, but their thoughts are immediately released as unnecessary or far-fetched. But mama, I am here to tell you that they are not. Allowing yourself to daydream and define your dream life vision is the secret sauce to turning your dreams into plans.
The first step to start to design your dream life is simple: define what your dream life looks like. Whip out your phone, open your Notes app and take 5-10 minutes to just brainstorm. Use the list above to inspire you. What do you want? Who do you want to be? How do you want to spend your time? What keeps you up at night that you would love to not worry about ever again?
After working with dozens of moms to create their dream life vision, I decided to create a resource to help you quickly and clearly define what your dream life looks like. In five minutes or less, you will get your customized dream life vision sent directly to your inbox. And not only that, you will also get 3 next steps that you can take to hit the ground running. How does that sound, mama?
I know you have 5 minutes until you need to leave to join the pick-up line at your son’s preschool, but jump on this now. If not for you, for your kids. Take that first step, you never know where this road will lead you.
And that’s all you need to worry about right now, mama. Dream. That’s it. Once your dream life vision becomes more defined, I strongly recommend writing it in your MAP Book so that you always have it with you. You can add to it, make changes and be inspired with it in a moment of struggle.
Is there more to do than just define your dream life? Yes, but for today, take this step. It feels like a baby step, but I promise you, mama, it will be your game changer.
Right now, all I want you to think about is defining your dream life vision, in vivid detail. Take five minutes right now to take the Dream Life Quiz to have your dream life sent right to your email inbox. Then, devote 10 minutes a day to journaling, reflecting and daydreaming about what other elements of your dream life you would like to include in this definition. There are no right or wrong answers, just moms that were afraid to claim their dreams.
